How to view any window on a remote device

The OBS Teleprompter App was designed to be flexible and adaptable to various recording setups. The developers ensured that all possible scenarios were covered. This article will focus on the remote viewing capabilities of the app and provide examples of situations where this feature may be useful.

Remote Viewing

With remote viewing, it is possible to display any window from one browser to another browser on the same device or a different device connected to a network. That’s right! This means that you can share and view any window from your host computer in real-time on the same computer or any other device.

To start a remote viewing session, follow these steps:

1. Tap the “Remote Viewing” button.
2. If you are sharing your screen for the first time, you will be prompted to give screensharing permissions. It is important that you grant the permissions for the remote viewing to work.
3. Select the teleprompter tab or any other window you wish to braodcast.
4. To receive the screen capture feed on the same or another device, navigate to https://app.obsteleprompter.com/remote
5. If not authenticated, you will be prompted to sign in.
6. Once signed in, you will immediately view the broadcast of your screen share.
